By Walk to Tirupati to Tirumala
Last weekend I had gone to Tirupati from Railway Station I took a bus to Alipiri where the journey starts at the foot of the hills by walk on bare foot with the scorching heat. The pedestrian path is as good as any other trekking experience
APSRTC runs two free buses from the Tirupathi Railway station to Alipiri, with a frequency of 30 minutes. Pilgrims who intend to walk up the hills to Tirumala can use these buses.
There is Bio-Metric Token facility that is provided for pedestrian who come on foot to Tirumala through Gali Gopuram or Srivari Mettu.
TTD provides several facilities to pilgrim’s who walk up the hills to Tirumala. There are 3850 Steps to walk and apart from that there is approx. 6KM to walk in the middle of the Ghats. It takes roughly between 3 to 4 hours to reach Tirumala by this way.
People who are concerned for food I would recommend to carry their own stuff as the prices are more when compared to anywhere & the food over the restaurants or the side paths are not good (AS FOR ME)
This was an amazing journey where people from young to old age walk over the steps on the way I saw a bunch of Deer’s & people feeding with fruits and much more that view over the Ghats to look other side was awesome
Below are the few images which were captured by my with my mobile
